Hey Michelle, No, the mare was not bred on a foal heat. Her last foal prior to that breeding was 2 years before. It was a really strange looking picture to me though, but the vet didn't seem to think so at the time and was really surprised when he found out she had slipped it after 60 days. Kim

walked her1 1/2 miles today, and I will pay for it tomorrow, anyway, she is gushy around the top of her tail, part way down her butt, but not all the way. Walks waddle style, keeps tail raised now all the time, peeing everywhere, switching her tail and no flies (fast, real fast).

With these good walks and keeping her in shape, I bet when the time comes for Flashy to foal, she will pop that baby out fast. She will probably not even break a sweat...LOL ;D

probably not but till then i am the one breaking a sweat. tonight she was very quiet, really gushy above the tail, her hoohaa is swollen a bit, getting long looking, she is kicking at her tummy a bit more, but still eating. she is making me look more and more to ms clarol. one side of her teets is looking like a cone bag, with a popped out teet. time will tell...

It sounds like she is progressing along just fine. From your description of her bag and all. How is the weather down there? we got a spell of cool weather here along with our spring showers. I had to drag back out the horse blankets poor Fantasy and a few of the others, started shivering in the wet cool weather.

ours did that a week ago, today it is in the 90, by the weekend triple digits. i think our cool weather is gone now for another 4 months. we wait till after 6 now to go out and walk her. We feed at about 3:30, then go home, and head out just before 6.

looks like were on foal watch, her milk is in it is that wonderful color, so she is in a paddock, away from the other horse's and humans. Her tail head is really gushy, so no more walks, we were told the color of her milk we could have a foal with in the next 24 to 48 hours. but being Flashy she might take us a few day longer then we thought.

we had to move her back to her pen she was starting to stress a bit, so tonight she is back in her pen with stormy on one side and shooter on the other. she has a better bag tonight, nothing like what you all have shown me, her milk vein is very prominent. now we wait.

as of 6:00 A.M. this morning, she is expelling her plug, the foal was really active this morning, so I asked a lady who is a breeder and a trainer, and she looked at her said yes the foal is active right up till birth, and she spotted blood on her hoohaa, so I checked and sure enough. It is getting close. I would have posted sooner, but internet was down most of the day.

no baby yet. last night she was keeping that tail high and off to the side, baby was active, and her flanks are indented. I am getting frustrated, thinking of grabbing the hover and sucking that baby out..but I won't I am teasing, I know it will be here when it gets here
