Well, I've been out of town for 5 days and come back to see that there is renewed hope that the grey can come to Texas. I didn't think he was available for adoption at this time. GOOD LUCK Michelle. Fingers crossed.

The bidding on old grey isn't the same as the internet... you have to send in a sealed bid on him, and at the end of the period they open the envelopes and the highest bidder gets him. So you never know who the highest bidder is until it's over.

Michelle, I sure hope you are able to get him. He is quite something and would blossom in your care. Good luck! ...And why is his bidding different? Seems silly to me.

Because of his age, Joan, and that stupid Burns rider bill (the senator, not the blm.)

Thanks Tiffany.....I am anxious to put my bid in. I have a great pen for him next to other horses in the main barn, then when he is gentle I want to put him with the colts we have - a nice 10 acre pasture. Since we don't geld until they are three, he will have plenty of colts to mentor over the years!

How wonderful for the colts and for you! There is SUCH a difference in attitude when young colts are raised with a herd stallion instead of just mares. Keeps them humble.

Yea Michelle! Keeping fingers and toes crossed here... it would be wonderful if he could come live with you and keep some colts in line. Good luck!

am keeping my fingers crossed too.I was just thinking about him today before I saw this post. When you get him he will be in horse heaven with babies to mentor, regular feed, and health checks, he is going to bloom. I will keep a prayer in my heart that you get him.

I've been away for the computer for 5 days and have been out of touch. I'm so hoping things work out with Michelle's bid. Linda F

Michelle
Your boy looks fantastic! My seven year old asked if he was pregnant? She's only 7...but it means he sure has come a long way since November. He looks all ready to go. Can't wait to hear about him.
I wish they were posting bids--will they at least tell you if you have been outbid?
