That is great news about the easy cover! Wish we could say the same for some of the horses that we have been breeding for clients. Just one of the difficulties of being in the Thoroughbred business.

ihe was such a gentelman even when she squealed and kicked at him, we then knew it was the end of her time, now in 18 days from the last breeding we will walk her by him and see if it took, if not then we wil wait till next year I do not want afoal born here in the heat...

well we bred Stormy, and the first time it took, and then she got the Rhino virus, all the horses at the stable did, si she absorbed it, so when she cam in agian we bred her, and hope it takes, we will know in a week if it took...

Good luck Nola....I'll be wishing for the best - hopefully she'll take this next time and keep. Hopefully I'll be expecting a new little one next spring as well. Hoping and praying!!! I'm soooo happy!

after the vet examen her she absorbed her foal and we did not have a clue, he told us she was pregnant..She freaks out with a prego check (Flashy) so am not even going to risk it with Stormy...

Just so you know it can go either way ...before you give up on the preg' check, call Rick and ask him if Riddle has ever produced twins. I know a lady up the road could not afford a preg' check when her mare was bred. Her mare twined and she lost the twins, then almost lost her mare. A preg' check would have been able to save one foal and not resulted in a much larger vet bill.
But I certainly understand your fears, I know this first foal is very important and I myself am very excited for you guys to have your first Kiger Mustang foal.

wow I never thought of that, but when we bought him from rick he said he has had 4 foals, and did not mention twins...
She is acting like she is, we walk her by him he sniffs her, she tucks her tail, kicks at him and squeals. we do this every other day, till the 21st of this month. that is when she should come into season if she isn't...Then we will discuss a vet check if she does not squirt or wink...I want a Kiger baby so bad...
