Gosh I haven't booked anything yet, I guess Fall just seems so far away but summer always flies by when your having fun. I guess I better make some plans. I live 25 min. from the Redmond airport area and should be able to help out anyone flying in.

Just heard from a friend in Burns that the Kiger adoption is now supposed to be 10/7-8 so double check those plans folks....

I haven't decided if I'm driving and hauling, or flying and paying a shipper. The only way I could do either is if I have others trailering with me to defray cost. Either way I'm GONNA be there, lol.

The foal almost any time, there were a couple born late summer, August or September when we were there last year. People who watch the S. Steens herd saw a couple of foals in February. But as stormyranch said, many are born late spring early summer.

Who all is planning on adopting?? Has anyone else heard of others that plan to attend that arent on here, wondering how the turn out will be since the economy is so bad. I know most are already up to there ears in horses.
When will they do the round up?

I know I will go there and want to bring home a baby or an old Mustang ...I just know there will be some one pulling at my heart strings like Argo' did in 2007. I am not planning on adopting, but one never knows. October is several months away.

It's a bad idea...the foals are to young and to much risk for deaths and injuries..plus the later foaling mares are put at risk.
Can't something be done to move it back like normal? Late Aug or early Sept?

Foaling at the pens in Burns isn't good either.
