Chilli stopped dripping milk and waxing late this afternoon. Her calcium is all the way up and that baby was rockin' and rollin' in there tonight. I am still hoping tomorrow and that she does not drag it out until Sunday...she does have that extra "glow" tonight though even with a layer of sand from rolling!

Nope...getting concerned - this is going to be one big baby. She was having short bouts of contractions last night, but staying her usual calm self. This morning she wanted to go outside, so she had a good scratch under her fav tree and is grazing close by the barn. I checked on her just before lunch and she did not follow me back to the barn - so all's well I suppose. Dang mare is gonna drag this out...

Her belly reminds me alot of Salsa with her last foal, she has that hanging way low and huge. Salsa was a mare that had big foals as well.

Chilli seemed like she was gearing up about two hours ago but now is quiet. She even made a few circles and acted like she was going down. I am in for a quick dinner and out to baby watch. Was really hoping she would go earlier so I would have had enough light to video. I don't like the fact she was dripping milk then stopped. Not normal. She is making sure her last one is a good one! Stretch marks - ugh! Probably would have some big'uns!

Chilli still has wax and when I remove it, she feels wet but not dripping milk. The baby is working on getting turned...I got to watch and feel him moving about for a good ten minutes after Chilli ate her grain. Progress - slowly but surely. I will check on her before bed, but don't know if I can make it for the third night in a row being up the whole night. Most likely check on her every few hours and go from there.

No baby again. She was dripping milk most of the night and actually went down to her knees three times - then went to her corner and slept for three hours.
Not dripping milk this morning...again.
