When the flanks fill in, then the foal is in the birthing position (most times the belly appears to "V" also from a side view)...can't wait for this long awaited foal!!

she has v'd, today her hoohaw is swollen like it is to be,her teets are pointing downward, she has not waxed, dripped or anything, but was told some mares don't. we are now 8 days from her due date. her belly in the v position makes her look swayed back. she is eating slower then normal, kicking at her belly a bit more today.a vet friend was out talking to us and said she looks good, and that she is carrying well, and it just might be a big baby, now how they know all of this is beyond me, but she is so big, and she is so short, both height and body. maybe that is why she looks so big. will keep you all posted.

lifting her tail away from her body more, her flank is filled in like you said, teets are pointing downward, but her bag isn't soft yet, but I know that can change any time. kicking a bit more, biting at one side.Now her poo was a bit softer, and not as big or as much.I brush her every day but i swear she grows more hair over night. she loves having her neck, and butt brushed. 7 days out today. So tomorrow we put down her bedding ,have a few pictures but do not know how to up load them here.

if you puload them to photobocket and then copy and paste the image code into the reply or message box when you push post they should appear

will do Michelle. She has progressed a bit further today, her bag is in, milk is there, not dripping, or waxing yet, maybe 3 days but she has 6 days till her calculated date...I am going crazy!!!!! she's so calm, not me nope, want her to have it, and both be okay...

not yet, so will be back down tonight, she is pacing, and has cow poop, we are close, and I do not know if I will make it LOL and so tired..but I will be there for her, she is my treasure, and so is this foal. We are hoping for a colt. Riddle so far has had nothing but fillies...so keep fingers crodded, and do the boy dance if there is one.
