Kara and Melissa, Thanks for the information about Pala-tech. I will definitely start Bolero on it in the spring!
Kara, I also hope that you might consider DNA testing at some point in the future. It might just provide clues about Kiger herd behavior, history and gentic influences may advance inclusion of grey in the registries. There have been several noteable greys in the breed, and they deserve recognition for their contributions.

Kara,
No apologies necessary as I understand about emails going to "spam" folders. I would assume it will take a long time to gain Argo's trust and confidence. Gentling a 17 year old wild stallion has got to be more of a challenge than a young one. Please take your time and bless you for taking on such a project. I am sure both you and Argo will be all the better for it in the end as we all learn so much from these wonderful horses. Each one is an individual with so much to give once the communication bridge has finally been crossed. When that time comes, and of course if you are interested, I would be happy to foot the DNA test cost. I agree with Linda D. in that results of testing Argo would be significant to the breed even if it turns out he is not Cisco's sire. So stay in touch and let us know how he is doing ok? Leesa
