Renegade aka Rio is looking great, Carol! I'm so happy for him that he found such a fantastic new home! I shouldn't do raffle horses anymore.... I get too attatched to them!

My mom and I adopted the yearling colt #1135 at the Kiger Kraze. He's here with us now, and seems like a sweetie. Despite everything that's been going on around him, I've never seen him appear downright terrified... just a little concerned about this or that. He's still leery of being touched by us, but doesn't mind a longe whip scratching him or having ropes tossed over his back. He'll come up near enough for some hay too. Attachments:

Thank you Pepper, Sbutter and Mystickiger! That is a beautiful picture of Dusk and her dam - I would never have expected my Dusky lady to come out of a silver grulla, that's for sure! She's coming along wonderfully, and upholding all of the great things I've heard (and observed) about Kigers. I'm going to wait for her to shed out next spring, and then pick a registry for her. I do agree that it's a good idea - and if the registries don't mind her being a bay, I'm happy to use them.
I've worked with plenty of horses, but I never knew a filly could purr until I gave Dusk her first full-body brushing this morning. She's the most affectionate horse I've ever had the pleasure of working with.
Zingomom and Eolith - congrats! Those are very handsome fellows.

I haven't been on my computer much with having 2 new horses to gentle. I love working with 1145, now named Diez and 1162, now named Shelby. They had gotten comfortable eating out of my hands if I was sitting but wouldn't come near me if I was standing. Last night I raised the bar and wouldn't offer hay until they approached me standing. I started outside the fence but eventually went inside. They both did great. Thank you Michelle, and gotkiger. I think they are both beautiful. It's exciting to see how quickly the other Kigers have settled in to their new homes. This is my first experience adopting mustangs older than weanlings. There are some beautiful horses available through the internet adoption....

YEs I am riding Dino. He had the horses sooo calm by the time we arrived home from Burns. SO they know him well. Dino has done this job many times with a saddle bridle and the rope around the horn. He knows his job and does it well. Kevin is with the mare of our client.
