I got 1171 the yearling red dun filly. She's not home yet, will probably be a couple weeks as I am taking advantage of the 400 mi shipping and picking her up at a drop point with another adopters horse. The overall opinion of those there is that she is looking like she's got a bun in the oven so I am anxious to get her home and on a good nutritional program for both her growing body and the baby. And of course gentling =) so I can have the vet give her a once over and get her feet taken care of so joints and legs aren't stressed with the pregnancy at her young age....etc Still working on names...have a few bubbling around in the back of my head but need to have a chat with her and see which one sticks.

I can't wait for more people to get home from the trip and post pictures! It looks like Kevin isn't wasting any time Here are some more pictures from the same day. Donkeys are fascinated Trying to get closer... Donza is keeping everyone nice and quiet Stacey showing a band member how to approach a baby and this being the end result. The filly has the dark ear tips and another bar a little lower.

Love your new filly she is just so adorable. She looks pretty tall, how old is she exactly? I love her little ear fuzzies to!

Wonderful! Donza sure is a hoot! I'm happy for Stacey on getting such a lovely mare and filly.

Kara, be interesting to hear your thoughts on the older stud. I thought he had good angles of the shoulder and hip - something the Kiger breed needs more of.

Would be happy to share. Let me get through lessons and hay making today and I will search through my pictures to show what I see and what I look for. I know coming from an Arabian and Quarter horse background my thoughts will differ from most, but it is just my opinion. I look for form to function and comfort of ride as well as trainability. Let me look later though through the pics and I will do some comparison shots and I will attempt to do the lines on the pictures as well. Might be a day or so, busy, busy, busy playing catch up from being away.

Almost home on the never ending road. The filly was laying down this morning just chillin' out. The mare came up and touched my hand twice then gave me the lip-too cute. It seems as this group of Tigers this go around are pretty nice minded.

Home and both mare and filly are settling in. I was so worried about the mare on the way home; it started to get into the mid 80's and she was sweaty. They did not want to get out of the trailer once we were here and I went in and wound up spending about 15 minutes in there rubbing all over the filly. She has no issue with me, that's for sure. It was hard getting pictures of her today, as she was in my face the whole time: The mare on the other hand, is pretty wiley, so we have some work to do. She sure is a little thing: And, YES, that is mud because it rained four inches while we were gone!! Standing water and muddy horses never looked so great!

I adopted a seven year old stallion, 1123. He has been so easygoing. I would have worried that there was something wrong if he hadn't been eating and drinking so well. He stepped off the trailer and walked as far as the hay. What a good boy. I wish more of the older boys were adopted. I think this guy was one of the easiest going ones in the pen. I think this could be very addicting... Attachments:

Stacy, I talked to you at loading. He was my absolute very most favorite horse there. I was sitting on my hands not bidding, since I won the raffle horse I couldn't adopt. And i don't need another stallion. But I was so smitten with him. I'm glad he's got a great home, although I personally thought he should have been released back out. I am new to the forum. I found it just before the Kiger Kraze but didn't register until now. I brought home 2 Kigers; 1162 and 1145. I love seeing my mare's picture at the top of the screen, obviously I'm not the only one that thinks she's beautiful. Congratulations Kim, we talked after you won the raffle horse. Congratulations to the other adopters. Some really awesome horses found new homes and I too am anxious to see more pictures. I will post some soon. It's going well but I've only gotten as close as having them eat right next to where I'm sitting.
