Anxiously awaiting mine, but it will be awhile...Jason, is Sage getting big? Is her belly high or low? She used to carry those fillies really high and just got wide, but her colt was low like a normal baby belly...

Michelle,
She had the baby and I believe it is a colt. I now have two on the ground. I don't think my other two mares took.

Michelle,
She had him on January 31st. My quarter horse mare had hers on January 5th. The weather has been to nasty to get out with a camera and get pics. I have a few pics of my quarter cross and I will try to post them when I have time. Will also try to get the wife to get some good pics of Sages baby.

Lakota looks great! Cedar used to start a bag a month before she gave birth. She would wax up a couple days before birth, which was a good sign to watch for. Everything would relax in her hips and she went from a round hip to more of a V shape, the ligaments relax so the baby can pass through. I can't wait to see this foal! It will be beautiful! Do you need another board on the bottom of that gate? (Sorry, its the worry wart in me!) Bella is beautiful, starting to look like a grown up girl.

Do you need another board on the bottom of that gate? (Sorry, its the worry wart in me!) Dianne: Too bad you hadn't seen my gate when the mare I had foaled...EVERY square inch of her large paddock attached to her stall had "bumper boards" around the bottom that met the bottom of the fence line EXCEPT about 6ft at the bottom of the gate...Darn Murphy's Law; the mare squirted that foal out right underneath the gate...Luckily I came along not too long after the mare foaled and got the foal back in with Mom....That scared the holy heck out of me!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder sometimes if that mare didn't want to give me a heart attack! Angel, Bella is just growing up beautiful as we all knew she would; with those genes it's a no brainer. I CAN"T wait to see Lakota's baby.....Keep us posted... Can't wait to see foal pics from everyone! Angela
