Thank You ..my daughter is very happy with the colt, not so happy with Cleo' right now. Cleo' is understandably sore and does not care much for nursing anymore either. She is not extremely bad just keeps walking away from Scout, who is tenatious mind you. ;D So we are holding Cleo during feeding times. We trade off in shifts, during the day someone is always outside to notice him wanting to nurse to go in and hold her. At night we just get up every 2 hours and check on them and go out if we need to. As Cleo heals up she will get better and not try and avoid him. She does stay close to him and watch over him otherwise.

He is a cutie, I do love the coloring as well. He's going to be very pretty!! I hope Cleo gets better, sounds like you guys have your hands full right now but hopefully it will work out. Is your daughter going to keep this one?

Did she tear by chance? One of Chinook's foals to an outside mare went way over and the mare tore a bit and it was inside a bit where it wasn't easily seen. She was reluctant to nurse and had to have some vet attention.

Cleo' is much better already this morning. My daughter will not be keeping Scout, nor will she be rebreeding Cleo'. It has been awhile sense she raised a foal, the last one she raised and sold to buy Cleo'. She is now recalling all the work that comes along with the joy. Scout is being raised and sold to put more money towards Cleo's training. Sense Cleo' was proven' sound with Xrays after her accident.

She did tear on the outside it was easily seen, once her swellign went down. It is healing very nicely, but I imagine she was in alot of pain and looking at the little spotted demon to blame....LOL ;D Everything was great until he got there.
She is even better later today and they even spent a few hours with Fantasy and Super in the grass pasture. Where Scout learned from Fantasy to stay with Cleo' and Cleo' learned to keep herself and her child away from Super for now. No fraternizing just yet. Super of course learned a few days ago from being in the herd, that he can not go away and play with other horses yet.
