Heard that their is a merger in the works between several of the regesteries, it is suppose to be good for the breed I hope so. If you want to know more ask rick, and I think Bettye Knows any way that is the jest of what I have heard. nola

4 regesteries will merge and one will be AKHR and SMKR , DNA will be one requirement on the new off spring, i can't remember what all this will entail if it goes through, but Rick feels it will be good for the breed. nola

Combining some of the registries is the most positive step i have heard about in a long time. I have two wonderful horses in my back yard that I have yet to register because of all the controversy. Hopefully this will be a step in the right direction.

Nola, why don't you ask Rick or Bettye to come here and explain what is going on? I'm interested in it as well.

If a merger is truely in the works it may be the best thing that has happened since the horses became a breed. It will likely save the breed. Kudos to any and all who may be involved in this effort! I too have horses waiting to be registered because of the state of the registries. There are a lot of good people out there, each registry has good points. If they draw from the strengths of each and they can pull together to make it work, we will have a dynamo registry.
