The High Desert Museum folks claim to know nothing of the auction in July. I will try to call Kitty Lauman to day to see if she is involved.

Looks as though that was 2007 info. Buckaroo was a mustang that Kitty worked with last year. the HIgh Desert Museum is not doing anything with mustangs this year according to them.

Just spoke with Gary McFadden, head of the wild horse program at Burns, and he confirms that it WILL happen. Bobbe, if you will email me privately the name of the person at the Museum that didn't know then I can send it to Gary so that everyone is one the same page. Gary didn't know the adoption numbers of the horses that will be there.

The horses that were ill or injured and not offered in the internet adoption is one source. Don't know anything more at this time.

There were 10 Kigers at the museum this weekend and I and happy to report that 6 of them found homes and from only two bidders. There were 3 mares, 3 yearling colts and 2 mare foal combos. Both mares and foals went as did a red dun mare and a yearling dun colt. All were sold on the opening bids. I'll let the person I know tell about her own experiences and I did not know the man who was the other bidder. Gary McFadden said the remaining Kigers would more than likely end up on an nationwide internet adoption. The museum was also holding an auction for two mustangs. One sold on the first and only bid for $500.00. He was a nice little palamino and already gentled. The other mustang; a little roan had no takers at an opening bid of $250.00. Photobucket is acting up so I will try to post the pics later. mare and colt mare and filly yearlings mares

Do you have the final bids and numbers? I liked the looks of the 7yr old mare online.

Sorry I don't have all the numbers. they were all at burns in November. They all went for $125 per head, so mare/foal pairs were $250.
