The Sulpher is of Ron Roubidoux's breeding (he was owner of sire and dam, and was the breeder) and is SMR registered. That is all the info I have and all I want to talk about Sulphers.

I too, think that sulphur is a very nice looking horse. But as in Kigers, Sulphurs do not have just one type, but several. I like his. Okay Michelle, that's all I have to say about S_ _ _ _ _ _ s.

Thank you Michelle. I think I know who that is now. Sulphur's Quest (Sulphur's Chance x Sulphur's Smokey). Chance has been dead for quite some time. His last owner only bred him to Kiger mares ... Same guy that had bought that 19k Kiger filly bought Chance. Now, they have a new Sulphur stud breeding their crossbreds and Kiger mares. They are up in Oregon.

I believe the gentleman your talking about who adopted the $19,000 Kiger filly and who owned Sulphers chance passed away a few years back. He was retired from the US Fish and Wildlife Service and was I believe in his 80's when he adopted the filly. He lived in Central Point, Oregon. He used to enjoy just going out and sitting in his chair and watching the filly. I think the horses were left to his caretaker. I don't know what her name is. I remember him as I went out to his place to do compliance checks on the filly for the BLM.

The lady's name is Coni Florey. Not sure why he started breeding Sulphur's to Kigers, but if anyone wants that famous Chance temperament in a half Sulphur half Kiger then those foals would be awesome. Chance is known for passing down that amazing Spanish war horse temperament. Very firey and willing to charge through most anything (as far as facing fears that normal horses would be scared of). I plan on bringing in Chance's bloodline in my future Spanish Sulphur breeding program. You can see a picture of the newest Sulphur stallion here: www.americanspanishsulphur.org/SulphurShowcase.htmlHis name is Sulphur's Corderio Cruz. Pictures are down at the bottom of the page.
