Hello. I am a new member of this group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Leesa and my husband, Steve, and I live in sunny, hot and humid Florida.
We currently have 8 horses on our property. They consist of a leased bay 14 year old Andalusian stallion, a 7 year old gray PRE mare, a 7 year old chestnut Arab gelding (boarding with us), a 4 year old buttermilk Kiger stallion, his dam which is a 7 year old Dun Kiger adopted from the Riddle Mountain Herd, a 6 year old Dun Kiger mare, also adopted from the Riddle Mountain Herd, and two fabulous 1/2 Andalusian & 1/2 Kiger fillies just over 3 months old.
I have had the pleasure of being in contact with a few of some of the other members of the group and looking forward to meeting and communicating with new ones. I would very much like to insert images of our Kigers and would appreciate any assistance offered with the steps to do this. Thank you.

Hi Leesa - It's Angel!! Glad you got on here finally. We have a great group here.
The way I insert my images is download them to photobucket.com and then just cut and paste the IMG code into the message. Not sure how everyone else does it, but that's how I do. It's really easy. Cant wait to see your pictures..!! (again) haha

Hi Leesa,
Welcome. I live in Odessa, TX. I've got a sweet 3-yr old domestic Kiger filly. It sounds like you have a very busy place! I'm glad you found the forum.

Hi Leesa;
Welcome to our board. My name is Kelly and I live in Ontario Canada. My business partner and I own and operate the Canadian Kiger Mustang Registry and we have 11 Kigers of which four of them are partial bloods. I can't wait to see pictures of your horses.

Hi Kelly,
Nice to meet you via the webb! How's the weather up in Canada? If its getting chilly up there I wouldn't mind if you figured out how to send some of it down here; I'm ready for some relief.
I would love to see pictures of all your Kigers (as well as everyone elses too) and would be very interested in what crosses you used to get your 4 part-breds. Our two fillies represent our first "on the farm" breedings and certainly our first in crossing the Kiger with another breed so I am very intrested in seeing how others are doing with this also.
Here's a question for one and all. How do you create a photo section within this site (like is done on some of the other chat sites) to upload a lot of pictures verses one or two or is this even possible? Does everyone rely on others checking out their farm web sites instead?
Leesa

Leesa, you can post as many photos as you like in the Photo Gallery on the main page. There is a special section for stallions too...and one for this years foals. Many folks (including me and my blasted MAC), can't see picts on photobucket and some of the other sites - I use ImageShack. But, like Angel said, you can load picts up there and then move them here. In the reply box, just click the "picture" and post the url in between the brackets.
I am looking forward to seeing your andy/kiger crosses and how they develop as opposed to our with the Luso crosses...I belive the stallion you have is a Teadoro son, right? The absolute best andalusian stallion I ever had the pleasure of trianing was also a son of Teadoro. He looked like a DeVinci drawing, just so upright and round - WOW!

Hi Leesa: Yes, things are actually quit cool and overcast with a drizzle that puts a grey tone to the entire day. This time of year all the leaves are starting to fall from the trees and everything is painted with the colors of yellow, orange, red and gold. If you would like to see our Kigers, I would be happy to post a few pics of them. We originally imported four Kigers. Two from the Clay Bank ranch in Oklahoma (Shelby our stallion) and Bit O Honey (one of three mares.) The other two are Saleen (grey partial blood) and Ginger (red dun). They came from the Kiger Ranch in Oregon. In 2005 Honey gave us a grulla filly, Ginger a red dun colt (now gelded) and Saleen (partial blood) gave us a grey filly. In 2006 I crossed an Arab mare with Shelby (pure Kiger stallion) and got My Sunrise Surprise, aka Baby. Also, an unplanned breeding to a Hackney mare produced Skeeter. In 2006 I imported a grulla Kiger gelding named Territory Bandit and a dun mare, Sweet Apparition or Kizzy as she is know around the barn. Last year we bred Shelby with Honey to get a Dun colt that is known as Babba in the pasture. We have not given him a registered name yet as the new owner has not decided what that might be. This year we imported two more mares from the Clay Bank ranch, Kizzy's dam (Dun) and Honey's dam. (grulla) Here is Ginger She came to us as a Dunalino but quickly darkened into a red dun. That is Saleen before she greyed out in the background. They were buddies from the same ranch. This is Saleen in her first winter here in Canada (2003) She is now completely grey. This is Bit O Honey This is Shelby, Canada's only Kiger Stallion Our 2005 foals.... Nieta De Sombre (Honey X Shelby) inher new home *Maid N Canada (partial blood out of Saleen X Shelby) Doc Holiday (Ginger X Shelby) Then there is Baby (Arab mare X Shelby) And Skeeter (Hackney mare X Shelby) He is the one on the right. This years colt Babba Kizzy's dam Honey Shasta Honey's dam, Sierra Myst seems to be camera shy but I will keep trying. Last but not least is Sweet Apparition (aka Kizzy) and Territory Bandit

Ok everyone. I hope I have done this correctly. If so the first pictures are of the 1/2 Kiger & 1/2 Andalusian fillies with a photo of their sire Teonado (and yes Michelle he is a Teodoro son!) and the fillies dams. The 2nd set of photos is of Cisco our 4 year old Kiger stallion. Dulcinea is the also Cisco's dam. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I did this photo thing right and the pictures will show up. Senona at 80 days old. Aldonza at 72 days old. Salerosa - Senona's dam. Dulcinea - Aldonza's (& Cisco's dam). Teonado - Fillies Sire (Andalusian)
