Hi Dara, KigerFest in August 23/24, in McMinnville. I will be bringing the raffle colt with me. He is a really nice colt. He has a really nice head/face, decent leg stripes, and LOTS of bi-coloring in his mane and tale. He is freezemarked from Riddle HMA. For those of you who have a 2007 adoption catalog, his necktag number is 8167.He has shed out much lighter than his catalog photo.I am still working with him at this time, trying to get the wooly hair off his back so I can get some more recent pics. Raffle tickets are only a dollar each I believe. Kim

There should be a class listing on the KMA website, as well as info on buying raffle tickets.

We will be there to film much of the event, but we aren't taking any horses this year. Please look us up - look for a tall curly blond haired man with a large video camera, and me, his shorter, wider sidekick.

Thanks Cheryl for posting all that info. It sounds like we will be having a pretty good turn out of Kigers. I know one lady who is bringing 4. We will be bringing 3. Another friend is bringing 2, and then there are the mustangs that will be coming. It is the second show of the mustang buckle series, so we expect a pretty good turn out of Mustangs. We had about 20 at our first show and 10 Kigers. Hope to see you all there. Tickets for the raffle colt are only one dollar and you can purchase as many as you want. Just send your money to me and I will put your tickets into the jar. Lisa Sink 20475 SW Christensen Rd. McMinnville, OR. 97128

Don't you need to be a KMA member to show in the Kiger classes? I was a bit confused by the rules that say you have to be a KMA member and the quote above that just says you need to bring along your proof of registration with one of a number of registries. I am sure my half Kigers would qualify as Mustangs to show in the open classes. I was just curious about the Kiger classes as I am not a KMA member. Or maybe they wouldn't, do Mustangs need to be freeze branded and not captive bred. The other half of my Half Kiger Fantasy is BLM Mustang. I would like to do a few Kiger shows in the future. But I am just a half Kiger gal'

You do not need to be a KMA member to show in Kiger classes. It was that way in the past, but not anymore. You can show your 1/2 Kigers in the mustang classes, you just need proof of Mustang parentage. Your mustangs do not need to be freeze branded! Lisa
