Hi all, Well, Kigerfest was a great success! Many people told me they had a great time, including the judge! We have a class called stick horse and these gals are from Pacific wild horse club. It was a hoot! We had 32 horses and 5 of them were Mustangs 23 of them were Kigers. I will post pictures as I get them. Dino won Champion Halter Kiger and Champion Halter Stallion. Jackie Sigloh won High point Senior Horse Kiger, Senior Rider Kiger and All round Kiger. I want to thank the people who helped me with the show and Stephanie Pfeiffer for making the Kigerfest post. Lisa

We had a great time at Kigerfest! Kevin and Lisa did a super job at organizing it and it was fun to see everyone. My best friend, Varisha, who is buying Bravo came with me to show him in halter. The judge didn't care for him but everyone else did and we had a really good time. Bravo was a perfect gentleman and made us proud of him. Varisha, better known as Vee, handled him well and got to meet a lot of people. She was impressed with Kim's driving Savannah and wants to learn to do that. Bobbe and Rick were especially fun to hang out with. Vee had to be back on Sunday so we left Saturday afternoon. It was hard to leave. There is video of Bravo at www.youtube.com/watch?v=qe6gTzC85V4 There were some really nice horses presented and it was super to see the quality of training and riders.

Dianne, Bravo looks outstanding! He is so fluid and beautiful. One thing I learned from showing sheep in 4H is that one year a judge wants a short stout sheep, the next year they want a tall long sheep. It always changes... Glad you and Vee had a good time.
Looking forward to hearing and seeing more! ;D

KigerFest was great fun this year. A huge thanks to Kevin and Lisa and thier crew for all thier hard work. All seemed to run smoothly. I was so disappointed you left early Dianne. I went looking for you and you had gone! There were certainly some fine horses out there. I think Kevin and Jackie are going to have to watch out for Debi and her horse Manny very soon! What a pleasure they were to watch! Mary and Rico were also a joy to watch in the reining class ( and other classes too! ), and her grandsons POA in the all breed classes is to-die-for cute!! This was most likely the most fun KigerFest I've attended for a long time! Kim

Sorry Kim. Vee was going to ride Bravo to loosen him up before the ride, but all of a sudden it was 3 PM. Good that we left when we did as my truck engine was overheating and we had to take it easy going home. Vee's kids were showing their chickens at the Evergreen Fair so she was up really really early the next morning. I know what you mean Joan, and it was fine. We both like this boy a lot and his mind is worth a million. There were a lot of really nice horses shown and both of us were super glad we came.

Maybe Rick got video he can share.

I would like to thank everyone who came to Kigerfest this year and to those that helped support it by buying a raffle ticket or sponsoring a class. The weekend went very well with only two little problems, one was all most at the end of the show while changing saddle from one horse to another the horse kicked a little girl, she’s all right , but I heard it in the show ring and I thought for sure someone was hurt bad.
Trust me you don't want to see the reining video, Mary & I were both off course. The judge wanted to know what pattern I was doing because it was nothing like the one she had in her hand. Oh well it was the end of a long weekend and we were both tried.
Some how we got roped into doing Kigerfest next year and will be looking to have it at the Clark County fairgrounds in Vancouver late June or July 2009. We also have someone for Kigerfest 2010 and that will be in Northern California
We will have the results and link to pictures of Kigerfest on the KMA web site by this weekend, got to run for now have to get to State fair for the Mustang and Kiger horse show.

The pictures are up on the photographers website from Kigerfest. www.mollydillphotography.com/gallery/5816568_FuJiF#P-8-24Yesterday was our last show of the buckle series at Oregon state Fair. Kim Ross won Junior horse mustangs with Debbie Dreisner's horse Breezy Jessica Bissop won green horse mustang with Kathy Smith's horse Amigo, a kiger, Kevin won Mustang senior horse with Dino and also Kiger horse. It was a great show at state fair. There were 3 mustangs there and 6 Kigers. There were 8 horses in the Senior Mustang class. We will be having a buckles series next year with the same three shows!

Really nice photography, especially the ones in the arena which are really difficult. I'll be buying a few of Bravo.
