Not a problem. Dollie needs to relearn a round pen. And Frodo needs a day or so to adjust to a lady being around, lol thank you for doing this

Quick question...after looking at the center of balance photos on page 4, I was wondering how much conformation can effect the leg position of the rider. I noticed in a video of myself riding Mystie that I tend to ride with my legs further forward. I have been conscious of this, but I find that I always have to adjust my leg to go further back after trotting or asking her to bend, etc. She is a very round mare (not just fat, but her ribcage itself) and I was wondering if I'd always have to fight for correct leg position since the narrowest point is right behind her elbow? I did lower my stirrups to see if that would help and it did to some degree. I could just have lazy legs

Not so much lazy legs but your saddle is probably putting your butt back like you are sitting in a chair! Your fenders should be right under the seat - barrel saddles are pretty good at this but trail or park saddles are more like lounge chairs some times.

Oh that proper postion sometimes a struggle for me as well, though I tend to sit forward more so then back and find myself bringing my legs forward all the time.

Sara- I think you mentioned using a ribbon so you would stay in one place when lunging? I use a hula hoop on the ground. I won't let myself be moved outside of that hoop for anything. :-)

Michelle - thanks, no rush I still need to work with both of them together again. The last time was interesting. It would be so much easier with a second body to give mr sexy pants a reminding nudge to be quiet.
Duvers - My problem isn't really in lunging it is just walking in a straight line. I always laugh and say I don't need to drink to fail the field sobriety test. lol

Funny...and unexpected. No constructive advice for walking in a straight line. LOL!

Ah..the fenders. I checked them out and they do tend to sit forward. I took my feet out when I rode yesterday and have a tiny bit of video (set it up on a post) and see that my legs are still more forward than them being "in line" with my body. Would riding bareback/stirrupless fix this problem or is it just a matter of mentally working on it?

Lol there is no help for me in walking straight.
Sarah- just post it here I am sure it will help all. If you go and watch my first videos I am using both a bareback pad and a saddle so you might be able to compare a little if that helps

Round pen is up and ready. Dollie moves in tonight. Frodo will stay in the round pen at night and Dollie in the stall

So the move was uneventful. They are about 30 feet apart and ignoring one another even though he is down wind of her. So she is in the round pen awaiting instruction.
