Thanks everyone! I am thrilled with the little bugger. I can already walk around her when she is laid flat out and she wont get up! lol She is just so friendly! Looking forward to her getting more muscle tone so that she isn't bobbling around and gets more command over those long legs of hers! I think that tomorrow I will let her walk around in the round pen. I think that she will be really fun to train and a blast under saddle!

She is darling! The stripes are just icing on the cake. What are your future plans for them? Will one be on broodmare duty or will you be alternating that job? I look forward to seeing more pictures

It appears she has a partial white hoof. Does the mare need a fly mask? Best for babies to be able to make eye contact.

The flies are out in full force which is why she has it on.
What I don't get about the hoof is that the top part is growing in black, not white. There is also no evidence of a coronet band as all four feet look the same (in regards to that paler section that is near the foot which would be typical of dun factor horses). Very odd that she looks to have a partial white hoof save the newer hoof is growing in black!

I've had babies with hooves like that before Kimberlee. Not to worry, it will likely end up black in the long run.
