We are in the 40's today and for the first time in 2 months I don't have ice covering my driveway and most of the yard, and bare patches are starting to emerge. I have a pond from all of the run off. My road has more divets than a golf ball and all full of water. We won't see green for at least 6-8 weeks.

Hi Kim, Nice to see a fellow dyn person I may try TNT one of these days, right now we're on the basics. I tried the free choice thing, but the darn buggers kept ripping the mineral feeders off the wall and spreading everything out, so I gave up lol Now I simply offer periodically the 1-1, 2-1. I give the occassional Izmine in their feed and so far, neither have felt compelled to eat the NTM salt. I'm using the dyna-pro also. Both for my dog and the horses. My dog is also on free and easy. Local grass is my preference. I can't store enough to last me from Sept to May, so this time of year I am stuck with orchard or orchard mix and I'll purchase whichever looks better at the time. Now that I am on the orchard/alfalfa mix...I will swap out the alfalfa pellets for orchard or timothy pellets. If am going to feed alfalfa I prefer pellets. It is easier for me to control portions that way. My Kiger is a pig...so with pellets I know exactly how much he gets. I can't do that if I were to feed it as hay. He will eat himself to a tummy ache.. My arab...he's a more of browser/nibbler, so I never have to worry about him. When I only had him, I could throw out flakes of hay and he'd nibble on it and have some left at the end of the day.

my Stormy and Riddle tend to eat allot slower then all the other horse's I have. But Riddle does not like pelletts and I have cut them out of my feeding program for all my horse's. Now Flashy my regestered paint is a gobbler, she eats her feed so fast. but lately she has slowed down a bit. Nova our BLM Mustang is an easy keeper, and shooter our QT/TB cross he has to have 2 flakes every feeding plus he is now on strategy. He is a hard one to keep the weight on. But since adding first senior manna and now strategy he has kept his weight on.I am finding each horse is so different, yet so much alike. I do feel Strategy AX is wonderful supplement.

we have had all our horse's on Strategy now for 4 months and we see such a big difference in their overall look. Coats are slicker, shinnier, manes and tails are healthier and longer, I just trimmed Stormy's, I cut it to about 2 inches above the top of her hoof. I do not want her to step on it and cause problems for her tail part up by her rump. Flashy's has grown and she is the one I really see the growth in, because another horse chewed off her pretty tail. Shooter his scars from being abused are finally getting hair to cover them, in the winter you did not see them but with his summer coat they were bad, but since strategy not so bad looking. I know what it boils down to is they are finally healthy, not to say they weren't before but now they are where they should have always been. And our hay now we get from one source, he sells it in 85 bale squeezes.I am so happy with how they all are looking.
