I think he's gonna look just like his daddy when he sheds. I hope he starts losing the foal coat soon... it's getting hot here! And he will be going to live with one of my friends when he's old enough to be weaned. So I'll still get to watch him grow up and post pics of him. There will also be a contract that states if she ever can't keep him, he comes back to me.
Now... to get T-man off to the trainer so he can start his show career!

YAY I found my boogie's thread! And of course he goes back to you if I can't keep him, I wouldn't have it any other way! *hugs computer* Oooooh I can't wait to get back down there and pick up mogwai and play with picaro and show Russ all the pretty ponies. We're going in a few weekends to scout out the winchester property and check the state of the barn and fences and start deciding when/if we want to start building there =^ - ^= Think the herd will enjoy 500 acres to play on?! I'm almost well enough to come back down, even if its just a day trip. *bounces up and down* Stupid road blocks and delays. The girls are excited about having two new, young gentlemen to play with.

Hi Tasha! Picaro is growing by leaps and bounds. He's just so dang cute! Mogwai is happy out at the other pasture. I made Joseph drive out and check on him today while I was at work. No problem getting along with Louie and no testing the fence. He's happy he's got 5 acres to run on instead of a tiny pen!
For anyone that is wondering, Tasha is Picaro's mom after he's weaned. And she came down from VA to visit me a few weeks ago and watch the Mustang adoption..... Just came to watch! And adopted Mogwai. He's a 2 year old gelding that was gentled in the TIP program. He's such a sweetie too! He's staying with me temporarily until she can come back down to pick him up.

Danke! I'm seriously considering that petition to change 'horse' to 'pringles' in the dictionary. The good news for everyone is when I'm not working with the horses I"m usually taking tons of pictures of them so no worries about updates on the little man!
As far as me just watching...yeah..me....and available horses....with money in my pocket.....uhm...suuure I'm just watching! Yeah! OMG how can Picaro be getting any bigger this fast?! What are you feeding him, miracle grow? Russ just found out he's workin the next two weekends, or we'd be comin down to whisk Mogy back up here. What can I say? I'm blessed by great friends and amazing horses and crappy schedules lol.

Guess that means I'll be seeing you in 3 weekends? LOL I'm working this coming weekend, then have the next 2 off. Mogwai has settled right in with Louie and is just enjoying having grass in a pasture instead of standing in a gentling pen. See you soon!

New pics! He's 3 and 1/2 months old now, and in the midst of shedding his baby coat, so he looks silly. But he's growing by leaps and bounds! And absolutely covered in stripes... Tasha finding his itchy spot Tasha huggin the baby he has a small hernia. if it doesn't go away on it's own we'll have it fixed when he's gelded check out these stripes And the other foal Pepita is the only other horse I've seen with the dark smudges above the knees like this. What is this called?

The dark smudges are called arm bars. They are pretty common in dun factored horses and definitely desirable. He is a cutie, no doubt!

YAY I finally got my computer to cooperate so I could get on here! He's such a little stinker, gave me a good little love bite when I was paying attention to another pony. Yep, he knows he's a star! It'll be so cute to see him reunited wth his buddy, Mogwai's enjoyin Whinne but she doesn't like to play. And you were right Amanda, I couldn't believe how big Picaro's gotten!
