This is 1/2 a mile from me (Guthrie, OK)--would anyone be interested in getting together and doing something with their Kigers? You could stay at my house! Would love to meet up with kiger folks from the central states! www.womenandhorsesexpo.com

Melissa and Michelle--I think you both would really enjoy this expo--they have a 3 phase versatility challenge that includes a freestyle routine: www.womenandhorsesexpo.com/VersatilityHome.htmland in the Rare Breeds Show (http://www.womenandhorsesexpo.com/Rare-Breeds-Show.html), they have classes like: Cowboy Dressage Suitability Bareback Equitation AND Doma Vaquera (Exhibition) As well as more traditional classes, including driving. These are open to men as well. Let me know if anyone is interested, because I live right there and am thinking of bringing Lazzy over for the Meet the Btreeds and maybe some of the rare breed show classes. ~Cindy

Cindy, Thanks for posting the links. The versatility challenge sounds very intriguing to me. I wish Guthrie OK was not so darn far away. Are you planning to compete in any of the events? It is nice to see folks interested in showing and promoting the Kigers. Melissa

Lazzy is pretty green, but if we get a little more show experience and she stops thinking things like banners are cougars in disguise, we might try to compete. Hopefully they will keep the event in Guthrie and we can do the versatility next year or the year after or whatever. I have a long way to go myself!
But I am getting info on the breed expo part and that involves some arena time.
One good thing--Lazzy already loves applause! LOL.
