I wonder if he was one of the 2007 adoptees ? I know alot of folks adopted at the auction in hopes of possibly starting there own breeding programs but in these troubled times I think you will see ads like this. The Kiger Stallions are easy guys to keep, and I don't mean to sound harsh, but I think if they can not keep them, I wish they would geld them before they send them out into the world. Then again if they could afford to do that maybe they would keep em'.

I e-mailed the ad but haven't gotten a response yet. I don't know the people or anything about the horse and heaven knows I don't need another horse, but I am expanding my horse network here slowly and there is a little interest in Kigers so I might kow of someone inthe area looking.
Just got a reply. The woman still has the horse she has had him since he was about 8 months old. She said he comes from a grulla mare in Redmond (Or) named Smokey? She has to find info on the sire, but said it might be a man's ranch and it might not be Redmond which made me think of Rick. She also said the horse may have come from a raffle so he is not freeze branded. did anyone raffle a dun or bay Kiger in the last couple of years?
She needs to find him a home, seems like a nice lady and he has had some training. She calls him a bay which I find ironic after reading the posts about that Dun stallion - Dino ;D. The pictures of the 3 year old don't show a dorsal, but boy do we have stills and vidoe of Dino and his dorsal is clearly visible. I told her I would put the word out so if anyone knows of a possible home, let me know.

There is a Smokey at Rick's and he did raffle some horses. So there is a good chance he is out of Steens Kiger. What is the stallion's name, do we know?

They only run the ads for a week then you have to resubmit them. Bobbie, let us know what you find out if she contacts you, or maybe Sarah got him?
