Stormy is pregnant, and due April fist 2010, I am so excited, and were trying to figure what color the foal might be....Stormy was claybank color, and now she is a dun red line backed, and Riddle is a dun, with a dark line down his back...Stormy is so light compared to his color...I just want a healthy foal, and a healthy mommy...  nola |

she is due February 28th, I put in the wrong month for the breeding, and just now relized it, sorry, but that means closer then we thought, and i am so excited...

I forgot to post the results of Sulphur's Arista's color results. If you remember, she is a claybank mare. Very creamy red dun (thinking this might help with your thinking of color for this foal).
ee (only red factor detected) aa (black base coat) nn (negative for creme gene) nn (negative for Silver gene. Silver is hidden in a red based horse) nn (negative for pearl).
Dr. Sponenberg said that the light color is likely due to unknown genes. Just like we have different shades of bay and chestnut, so we have different shades of dun factored horses.

both are doing wonderful, and she is looking pregnant, which our trainer / breeder friend is surprised for a maiden mare, but Stormy has not ever been the normal, she has been extraordianry...

stormy has 5 more months, and my friend who is a breeder and a trainer is amazed at how she is showing and that she is so calm and cool and collected for a maiden mare....One thing i have noticed her hooves are growing faster now then before, and they are harder then ever, they were hard before, but our Farrier says they really seem harder, and we have not yet put her on a supplement other then strategy a pound everyday and a pound of bran every other day with the strategy....she is so amazing...

she is due in about 4 months, now we have not had her vet checked, she stress's and I am not going to do that, when we had Flashy vet checked she later absorbed it, but she never did come into season as a matter of fact just the sight of Riddle she bucked and kicked out, so we know she is, a friend told us let her be a horse, she will tell you if she is and she has told us...her hooves are growing faster now then ever before, is that common, she is on strategy, and next month we will start mare foal supplements...I am so excited for this foal...but I won't breed her again, no I will buy brood mares (kiger's of course)...not to say we will not breed him to other breeds , but we are going to be very pick, to many horses, and not enough people, I will not add to the problem...now as for this foal I will keep and train for my grand kids...

today when we turned her out to romp, she kicked out just a wee bit, and shook her head and that is all she wanted to do, but she loved her grooming session....she is getting bigger, I think it is time for me to start taking pictures and posting them....will keep all up dated...
