Stock tank water cleaners by Bioverse are an excellent product to safely keep the water clear, odor free and algae from building up. As the hot weather arrives they become increasingly valuable to maximize water consumption. I compared prices and Jeffers has the lowest price that I found.
Clean the tank well (I use a power washer) and place one packet into the holder, drop it into the tank and it keeps the tank clean for 30 days. These things are great! Our water is very rusty and the water clouds up quickly if I don't use these.
When the weather gets really hot I don't fill my tanks completely full, so that I can add cold water daily to make it more refreshing.
