Those are priceless! I think Kigers have a little strand of curious-cat DNA.

So how do you like your new giant dog? She is such a character. It sounds like you can right stories about her reminiscent of Farely Mowat's -The Dog Who Wouldn't Be. Really good book and a classic, so you know people would love Firefly's adventures and how she isn't a typical horse. Just an idea there

The amount of curiosity in Kigers is remarkable. A new place has to be thoroughly investigated, and if anything changes they notice. I can remember trying to work on a fence with a Kiger nose in the way. Your girl is a treasure.

My little filly wanted to check out my husband in the shop one day but i was worried about her spooking at something and falling...yikes maybe its only becaouse i had a 18 hand horse fall in the barn isle once....now that WAS SCARY!!

She seems to always pretty much spook in place and try to see what scared her. My husband was just playing his drums just now and Firefly is about five feet away from the screen door. She just stands there and listens. Drums don't scare her at all.

Hondo is doing fantastic! He's just as peppy and silly as ever. For the last few days I've been babysitting a friends two year old female black lab. She's a bit neurotic as she came from an abusive environment, but we're working on her little by little and she's getting better. However, in my friends house right now the score is tv remotes 0 Gypsy 5. I told my friend to look on the bright side, the remotes never have a chance to get old and worn out and dingy looking! Right now I'm teaching her dog to not plow through the open sliding glass and regular man doors, she has to wait to be invited in before coming in, and she has to go outside when she's told to. She's a might too pushy in that respect and she's worse with my friend because she lets her get away with that. I've had to verbally repremand her and she was scared she was going to get hit. I still repremanded her and then let her know after, that it was over and all was good. She needs to learn that repremand no longer means being hit. Hondo loves her, he plays like he's a puppy, his eleven years are nowhere to be seen when they're playing. I'll get a picture of the two of them together and post it in a little bit. Right now they're both eating their chicken.

Silly firefly! Her mom is not bothered by anything either. I cannot get over how much she looks like Springtiime. Bolero would have been in there too, but he would have used every object in there to play with. What a Kiger family. Firefly is so precious! My donkey, Cola, would also be in there and he would try to use the tool for it's intended purpose. He likes to bring me his curry to be brushed. Linda D

I'm glad, I always worry that I might be boring the daylights out of you all. She tickles me so much with what she does. She's gotten used to the chickens now and hangs out with them a good bit. They're used to her too. I give her and the chickens all sorts of fruits, I was down at the chicken coop giving out the fruits and Firefly decided she wanted one of the fruit pieces one of the chickens had. She put her head down to steal it and the chicken gave her a good peck right in the nose! Here head came up real fast. The chickens walk under and around her all the time and she just watches them go. Yesterday she met a little black pug dog. She's used to the two black labradors, so the pug sort of threw her, she was pretty interested in it The pug was fearless, he walked all around her and sniffed noses with her when her nose came down to greet him. She really is pretty priceless, she's wonderful for my emotional wellbeing, she can make me smile even when I'm the most stressed.
