I was out doing things in the back area and my dog Hondo and Firefly were both with me. Firefly has a moving blanket that she has decided is her security blanket. She has actually ripped a long piece out of it and she carries it around with her sometimes. Well, Hondo decided that he wanted to play with that piece, so he picked it up and ran with it. Firefly promptly ran after him. She planted her nose on his butt (not biting) and ran at the same rate as he was. He was running all over the yard trying to get away with her but she stayed right with him. Once in a while she accidently stepped on that long tail and brought Hondo to a quick stop, she had to react quick not to step on him, but she managed every time to keep off him. He would get tired and run over and hide behind me, then he would sneak back out and sit about ten feet away from her with her toy hanging from his mouth. She would take up the chase again and that went on until he was flat exhausted. I had to put him inside because he started to become a little epileptic (sp). He's had that since he was a pup, but episodes have gotten extremely rare, whereas when he was a pup, they were fairly often and scarey.
Firefly just loves Hondo, she's decided he's a lot of fun to play with. I just wish I'd had a camera with me when all this was going on. It had me in fits of laughter.
