I thought I'd post some pictures of Firefly and I, she was just relaxing and snoozing She was ablsolutely loving all the petting and preening I was doing and her eyes were pretty much closed a lot of the time. I can't say how honoured I am by the amount of trust she puts in me.

Oh I love the pictures. It's amazing how much trust they have in you to let you walk up to them like that. It really makes me feel special. Firefly really does look relaxed and you're right, she is going to sleep. She must have been sunning!!!

I walked all around her and rubbed her all over from her nose down her shoulders and back, down her tummy and everywhere. She was relaxed the whole time. At one point she even rocked backwards a little so I could reach her tummy better. I really took the opportunity to have my hands all over her while she was willingly in a very vulnerable position. She perked a little bit a few times at things going on around us, but settled right back down. She really let me rub her everywhere. It was a very bonding experience. A special time.

Those are great pictures I do think it is a wonderful moment when they trust you enough to let you in on nap time.

I'm jealous.....You guys look a good bit warmer than us! Isn't it nice to just go up and love on them and they just soak it up? Firefly looks so relaxed.....I agree with Tiffany, isn't it nice when they let you in on nap time?!

Today is rainy and windy off and on, the sun is in and out. Must not be bothering Firefly very much, she has chosen being out in the open in the grass rather than being in the shelter of the trees. I lead her three times, up ino the trees (where there is also grass) and she turned right back around and went right back out into the open. I found out she's not real thrilled with dog food cans, she took one wiff of an empty one I had in my hand (along with other stuff) and she got rather nervous, though didn't run away.
