I thought I would post this up here on general (I also posted it on the PHC thread) so more folks would see it. I just found this video on you tube..I actually got some time on my sons high speed computer while he is away, this is working equitation, speed test....all I can say is WOW! and I am impressed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5895K-Xjupk&feature=relatedIt's like extreme equitation and cowboy race all rolled into one ... ;D

I know I think the side pass sold me to place him as the winner...that was some fancy hoof work.

Can't watch. Can't tolerate bull fights. But yes, the movements in the speed test are definitely those used with the bull. Wouldn't it be nice if some day they used a mechanical bull, like the hydra bull, for bull fighting instead of the real animal?

I love that video of Orpheo! I have it saved on my computer and love showing it to people! My favorite part is the "spin" he does! His foot work is unbelievable. I understand peoples feeling about bull fighting. The video is worth watching just to appreciate the amout of training that has gone into the work that horse can do. Here are more videos on the breeders website www.jbpre.fr/video.htm. I like them all, especially the one with the babies. The video titled "Rafi Durand et Orphéo" shows Orpheo being worked in a field, it is not as spectacular as the other one, but it has a lot of the side passing. Take a look at that one if you don't want to see the bull fighting.
