Jason: Cute little girl! Looks to be grulla...And look at those shoulder/neck barring! Please post more as she unfolds.
Ohters: How much of the markings stay after they shed their foal coat? And once they shed out, is that what will stay with them? Or will they potentially loose more or gain some in the next few sheddings before it is set?

OK now I know why you were out taking pictures all day What a darling little filly. I tell I would be pleased as punch to see such a cute grulla as well. ;D My guess she will shed to a much darker shade of grulla.

THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS. I SURE AM PLEASED WITH HOW SHE TURNED OUT. SHE HAS SURE MADE ME HAPPY THUS FAR. I WAS THINKING SHE WOULD TURN OUT TO BE A DUN.?.? OF COURSE I WOULD BE HAPPY IF SHE STAYS A GRULLA. I WAS NOTICING THE OTHER DAY THAT PEOPLE WERE VERY APPARENTLY DRIVING UP JUST TO LOOK AT HER (BECAUSE THEY WOULD TURN AROUND AND GO BACK THE WAY THEY CAME). MY DAD THINKS SHE IS GOING TO BE REALLY FAST...............

[/img] Juslyn, my kiger filly, Chica, kept her foal markings, but did not keep the bicoloring in her tail. Bolero's markings got stronger and he kept the bicoloring. ctxkiger, Sweet foal. Grulla is a shade of dun, one of the rarer shades. Isn't it amazing how they plump up in a few days. I think you got lucky! I love the grulla color. Linda

LINDA, CHICA IS A VERY PRETTY GIRL.
SO FAR, MY LITTLE GIRL HAS THE DORSAL STRIPE, SHOULDER BARS, LEG BARS AND FACE MASKING. SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE BARS/STRIPES ACROSS THE FRONT OF HER CHEST NOR DOES SHE HAVE THE BICOLORING IN HER MANE OR TAIL. SHE HAS ALREADY STARTED GETTING LIGHTER COLORED.

I love all the photos everyone has posted. My mare CiCi (QH) was bred to Michelle's Desi for a May 09 foal. She has been in training and sometimes would look pregnant and sometimes didn't. So we decided to have her checked out. Turns out she is no longer pregnant. I am sad, but now we can hit it really hard in training. I will breed her to Charro in probably April. Can't wait to see all the new babies coming up!

I am sad Iwood92...I was looking forward to the Desi + CiCi foal. As I am sure you were as well. It's nice you can move forward in great strides with CiCi's training and turn this into a positive. We can look forward to a Charro + CiCi in 2010 ;D
