There's a good article in the February issue of National Geographic on mustangs. The reporter is pretty balanced in her coverage of the issues facing feral horses, and there is information on Spanish lineage but, unfortunately, no mention of Kigers. The reporter spent most of her time in Montana and Wyoming, so the Pryor Mountain mustangs were mentioned often. Someone was just telling me about this article yesterday. She was impressed that the wranglers were riding mustangs, showing that they weren't just hauling the horses in and dumping them, but using them. I'll need to go out and find the mag, I guess. Is it Feb's issue?
