Am I envious! To meet Rowland Chenney and his horses and see his work in progress! WOW!
Rowland Chenney is an award winning artist and sculptor who did the original work from which Breyer made the Mesteno series of Kiger horse models. Rowland captured the Kiger so well in the series and I have seen some amazing art that he has done! Lee Mitchelson is another Kiger owner/artist that does magnificent Kiger art.
I see that he has a Mane Man Kiger too! Of course that is not unusual in this breed. The latest adoptee is a handsome fellow.

I think Rowland has a dark grulla stallion too? It took Grand Champion Kiger Stallion at the Kigerfest in California. Did you get pictures of him by chance? What is Prince Dunsmoke's breeding or is he from the wild? How tall is he? Cool shots!

I have had the pleasure of riding both Prince Dunsmoke (at Sacramento Expo 2006) and Presentation. They are indeed wonderful Kigers. Diane, Prince Dunsmoke is out of Rowland's stallion: Cougar Hija Warrior(Warrior) who is out of Kiger Cougar. He has the most awesome floating trot you can sit like your were riding a Paso Fino. Prince Dunsmoke(Dunny) This is a picture of Rowland's grulla stallion that won champion kiger stallion at 2007. He is a gorgeous animal!!! Kiger's Lobo Smoke Lisa

Wow! What stories Mr Chenney must have to tell! The Kiger Cougar influence in Dunny is obvious! Wow! Wow!

Fabulous Kigers , one can hardly blame you for hanging around for longer then attended. What a great joy to be able to visit Rowland the artist and his Kigers. Dunsmoke is quite handsome and what a beefy boy, I rather like his adopted Kiger as well.

Yes Sarah, Dunny belongs to Rowland's son Josh. I had the pleasure of meeting Dunny in Oregon and he's been a heart-throb of mine ever since. He is absolutely stunning and so easy going and nice. I got to hug on him for quite a while. ;D

Yeah, you're right Brian, and out of a mare named Princess, (I think that's what Josh told me).
