She looked good Noticed she was a little sweaty, was a little lathered in the rear. Must have been nervous but still trying to figure things out and learn.

Princess is just too cute. And I'm totally envious of all you who got horses who were so willing to trust right out of the trailer! Steve Holt! still doesn't like me touching his legs, and look at Princess! She's a pro

THANKS, so much for sharing some pictures. Princess is just doing fabulous under Kevin's care. She is a pretty darn cute chestnut girl, she is sure to stand out come the day of competition.

That looks interesting - you guys look like you're bundled up!! It's good to see you get all your horses out there like that, princess is going to be one broke mustang!! It's amazing at how far along you've come already in this short amount of time.

So, does he always start in a bosal? I never felt comfortable riding without a bit at first. I have Tesoro started in a full cheek snaffle. Any advice on starting with a bosal?

Princess is the first horse he has started in a bosal. She just really hated the bit. She did really well with the bosal for awhile, but Kevin wasn't getting the results he needed for collection. We have her in a snaffle now. She went to her first show today. Day 36! Check out the muscles on this Quarter horse. And those legs! Prinecess has bigger legs than that mare and she's half the size. This horse reminded me of a body builder, muscles oozing out She won the class

Such inspiration! Princess really is coming along nicely. She looks so calm and relaxed at that show. Hard to believe just a little over a month ago she was totally wild! So what kind of classes did he ride her in? And how did she do?

He did one walk/trot class and one novice trail. He didn't want to overdo it with her. She just takes everything he throws at her and he's worried that he's going to hit a wall one of these days. She did well in the classes, but with 22 in the class we didn't expect anything!

That's terrific that she was able to go! Mo got Malachi out this weekend as well, to a gaming show. He, too, is coming along nicely.
Alas...Steve Holt! is no where near ready for that type of excitement, lol!

Great job Kevin! She looks wonderful!
I made Hubby go to the expo in Sacramento one year and we came to the paint horse booth, the example horse in the stall was a two year old filly who was ginormous in body, atleast 15hh but her legs were toothpicks and her hooves were half the size of my Kigers who were two at that time. That was the first time Hubby actually realized what I was talking about this whole time... How can those little sticks hold up that huge body?! No wonder the halter horses go lame so quickly if used!

Lisa, I was just over reading your blog, which I love and have to check daily. You forgot to mention here that the show was her 10th ride!
