This guy has about an hour's worth of photos, many are from Nevada, some from Palomino Buttes, South Steens and about 15 of Kigers mixed in. You can go to his album where he has many of the labeled as well. Watch for the one of his truck, he said he had to hike six miles to get a tractor and it cost him a full day. Very nice photos! www.flickr.com/photos/24688219@N07/show/

Dianne:
Can you double check your BBC code for the link please. When you click on it the page comes up as not found. Thanks, Kelly

Kelly, you have to cut and paste because that last little bit of the address isn't linking. I see some of the same horses on South Steens that I photographed last month. It looks like a few are branded, including 'Honor'...I didn't see his brand through his mane when we were there, but there's no doubt its the same horse. Thanks, Dianne, for posting!

I thought so, did you see Dibs in there? The palomino at the beginning was from Palomino Buttes. The large herds and the lake were taken in Nevada. Most were from Nevada. In one caption he says that he was laying in mud, up against a rock with camo on absolutely still and the horses still saw him and spooked. If you move your mouse to the bottom of the page the series appears. If you click on one of the pictures it pops up a bit and if you click on it again the title and date it was uploaded appears. Looks to me like he spent about six months just taking pictures of mustangs.

I was trying to see if I could find Dibs, but the slide show froze on me. I'm looking again. I see the yearling colt she was hanging out with, so maybe she's there somewhere.

What an awesome collection of pictures. He obviously has respect for mustangs. When I think of the 30,000 mustangs in holding pens, after living like this, it sickens me. Linda D

LOL Tracy - It is wonderful to go out there isn't it? Jerry and I spent a week out there with the Miyamotos a few years back. We spent lots of time on the different HMA's, saw lots of horses. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever had! We will go back...and I'd like to take a couple of our horses with us and do a little riding out there on the ranges!!! Just out of curiosity - when are you going in August?

Second half of the month. No definite days set up...I'm kinda looking at the fair schedules up here and trying to determine if I want to bring a couple horses up for gentling and adopting out. I had three at our local fair last summer and it worked out quite well.
Anyway, I'm hoping for 6-10 days, somewhere in there. We'll have a base camp and then folks can go out for half days, full days, or two or three days, from the camp. I'm desperately wanting to ride shotgun for a couple of days with a herd; I got me a GPS for Christmas just for that reason ;D
