I thought this link was very interesting since we've been talking about horse history, and yes, they do say that it is believed the spanish brought over there horses in the early 1500's, which is what populated America with horses. It talks of how the horse came to be from millions of years ago - Apparantly (from what the article says) they discovered a fossil a century ago and named it Eohippus "the dawn horse" and believe this was the first link in an evolutionary chain that lead to today's modern horse. www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/horses/introduction/3153/Here's another www.thecloudfoundation.org/WildHorsesasNative.htmlI've not checked/researched any of these, so if any of you have any info, would be great if you could share.
