There is a 2010 virus that is attached to the link FUZZY NOT KIGER. It poped up when I was watching the video of Firefly, and it looked like it was scanning for a virus, then tells you to go to a site about the virus protection which I fortunately did not do. My Trend Micro virus protection worked. I enjoyed the video however.

Strange, Please don't open it, I ran a full virus scan on my computer and didn't find anything. I will run a virus scan on my files on photobucket and see what I can find out. Don't know where the virus could have come from if I don't show one on my computer.

Kigerfan:
If it is a worm or an invasive virus, it will attach itself to a subroutine in your computer and won't be detectable until it has done it's damage. You might want to do an indepth scan on all your files, folders and subroutines. Thanks for the heads up, I am sure I'm not the only oe who really appreciates it!!!!

I had norton antivirus do a complete scan of my computer and it didn't find anything. What program would you suggest using to scan for this virus? I can't imagine where it came from. The only surfing I really do is on horse sites, dictionary, thesaurus and things like that.

If it is a new virus Norton may not have a solution for it. I too use Norton but back it up with Kaspersky and an additional fire wall. It can be a bit if a pain because it blocks alot of sites with pictures and videos as well as emails. I would suggest you email the link of the video to Norton explaining to them what happened. At least that way they will be aware of it and be able to address it. When I had a problem with Norton, I called them and when their tech agents couldn't fix it, the president of the company called me. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that he would have lost over 200 customers but nevertheless, the problem was solved within 24 hours.
PS: McAfee is not my favorite as certain viruses embed themselves on the subroutines so if you want to get rid of the virus you have to uninstall McAfee and that's when the virus is triggered. There is no be allend all solution. I keep my reboot disk handy and when my computer goes down, I just wipe the hard drive clean and reinstall my programs. It takes me a full 8 hours to get it up and running again but at least I don't my computer. You might want to back up all your files and programs on disc or memory key which is quit handy in these types of situations. At least you won't loose all your files.
