This spring I decided to make fence repairs and got myself a few bags a brand new insulators (those white things that stick out from your posts that hold the electic tape on your fence). I went about replacing all missing or broken ones. After which in a few weeks I noticed a few of the new ones already broken or the fronts broke off. I could not imagine what my horses were doing to keep breaking insulators. A few times I found the tape on the ground and I am sure someone did something silly and yanked on it and broke an insulator. But everyday I was finding a few more open or broke.
Until one day I just happen to be out with my camera taking pictures of Fernando when I glance back and see this....
a very bored Princess chewing on insulators and breaking them off. She is not a clever Kiger but a Pintaloosa with apparently nothing better to do. I am now replacing all my broken chewed on insulators with a new type she can not chew on with out touching the tape itself and getting a good ZAP!
