Wondering if any of you are doing the Northwest EMM? Of if you're not training, will you be visiting the corrals to see the horses that trainers are picking up?

Yes, Kevin is doing the EMM. We are really hoping on getting a gelding, with three stallions at our place. We have been told that there with be 60% mares in the EMM, so figure with our luck that's what we'll get!

Lisa, just let MHF know the situation. They may accommodate you. I'm hoping for a mare this time, myself, which means I'll probably get your gelding, lol!

Did they get anough applicants? I was worried it might not happen after all.... I won't be participating, or going to Burns, but I plan to be at the expo to cheer for you both! Lil

Yah Lil, they had 36 applicants and selected 36 trainers!

I keep hearing different numbers for the applicants, but I counted the trainers and there are 36 listed. Some will drop out most likely. We had 34 selected for Sacramento but ended up with 29.

I envy your shorter drive; I get to your region, make a right and travel nearly to Canada, eh. Takes 10-11 hours and I'm not looking forward to driving in poor conditions. Actually, if it's bad I'll stop in the Portland area and head out Sunday morning. My poor driving companions will be driven nuts, I'm sure ;D

Forgot to say that I plan on being there Thursday as I've got someone along who's planning on adopting. That'll give us time to visit the corrals and make a decision before pulling out.

What inspiration! Saddled and blanketed in just 3 days. I'm not competing against you guys, but I'm planning on applying for the TN Makeover that happens in October. I'm excited already, and it's so far away!
