Hello all: This weekend the Midwest Mustang and Burro Saddle Club participated at the Women and Horses Expo in Sedalia, MO ;D....My daughter rode her mustang mare Kahlua and we were pleasantly surprised when we were asked if Julie Goodnight (clinician) could ride Kahlua in one of her demos....Well it seems our group and Kahlua have inspired Julie to blog about it....Read all about it here: juliegoodnightontheroad.blogspot.com/I'd love to see a million comments from us mustang lovers on Monday's blog post! Go read it and see what you all think....I think my comments have to be approved first so I don't think it's showing yet...but please check it out and be heard!!!!! My friend rode her Kiger mare Segura in our demos and we also got to see a great liberty demonstration by a Kiger stallion named Bolero owned by a lady named Rochelle from Springfield, MO.... Angela, proud mom of Jessi and Kahlua!

Angela, how exciting for your daughter and her horse! And what great publicity for Mustangs! I read Julie's blog and all the comments too. I got to sit through 3 of Julie's clinics last year at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Denver. I enjoyed her so much, especially her teaching about riding from your seat. Got me inspired to work on using my aids more subtly. She also was an inspiration to me, in that she badly broke her leg in a riding accident some time back, and has come back to riding and teaching with confidence. I broke my leg on a horse 2 years ago, and it was a year before I could walk normally again. It was a little scary to get back on a horse, but wouldn't you know, the horse I started back on is my daughter's 23 year old mustang mare! Safe and sane. Thanks for sharing with us, and two thumbs up to Julie Goodnight for spot-lighting the American Mustang! Lil
