Running Shadow

Hi everyone! Been a while since I've posted, but still check in frequently!

Just wanted to update you on Shadow... He has been gelded... 3 weeks ago yesterday. He is doing great and I am feeling better about the decision as each day passes.

We took him on a short ride last Saturday, along with one of his 3 1/2 year old filly, Classic Shadow or "Classy". While we were riding, we ran onto our friend Lori and another friend of her's. Lori was also riding another one of Shadow's 3 1/2 year old fillies, Selkirk Shadow or Selle. We managed to get a quick picture of the three of them together... not the best picture, and I expect we'll take more as the year progresses.

It was a lovely day for a ride. Sure hope we have some more days like this!!!

Shadow looks handsome as always.....He's my daughter's favorite Kiger stud (now gelding....)...She's in love with him! And what beautiful daughters he's got with him....Cool trail ride!

OH! Great pictures...and yes, Shadow sure is stunning. It looks like he can now enjoy his new life as a gelding... All 3 horses sure are pretty.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone! Shad is pretty much healed up now... we've got winter showing up and he's feeling pretty fine!! I think we're going to have a wonderful summer next year with Shad, Classy and our coming 3 year old gelding Nik. We're looking forward to just riding and enjoying our horses.

Angela - I'm tickled your daughter is in love with Shad! Would she like me to e-mail some pictures to her??? I've got a couple nice ones!!!

Joan - Classy does remind me Sooooo much of Shad -- she's a real combination of her mother and him, but her coloring and demeanor is more like him. I'm really going to enjoy riding her... she's just going to get better and better.... and she's already pretty steady for a 3 1/2 year old!!!
