Just got an email from Ramona at Burns BLM seeking homes for 2 Kiger mares. Owner is suffering from health/financial difficulties.
Dulcinea the light dun is 10 yrs old, captive breed & is a grand-daughter of Steens Kiger. She has a weakness in the rear which is difficult to notice, especially when she runs & plays with the other horses. This was first noticed when I sent her for training. She may be ridable now, but I haven't had her re-revaluated by a vet to find out. She has a good mind, great conformation, & was a super mom.
Dancer, the bay is 18 yrs old, from the Kiger HMA, & has big trust issues & is still semi-wild. I was told that she was mistreated by her former owners and this may be the reason. She is friendly, sweet, loves carrots, and is a great mom or nanny.
Thank you for your assistance in helping me find homes for my girls. I truely appreciate it.
Anyone interested should contact Ramona at Ramona_Bishop@or.blm.gov
