That is great news and just as you dreamed Stormy would be. It is the nicest compliment when someone offers to buy your horse I hope that Flashy does just as well on her next trail ride out with Jim.

yes the desert is beautiful, but we do have to watch out for jumping cactus, and snakes. Madre the other horse was bit by a rattler a week later, but she never acted like anything was wrong... this is the trail ride that she ended up with ouchy feet, so we had her shod before the next trail ride which she did wonderful... Thank you Tiffany... Nola

in the first picture that small hip high looking cactus is what we call Jumping cactus..if you get to close your body heat causes it to jump on you.. last trail ride some got into stormy but not deep and Jim was able to comb it out, thank goodness..

That cactus would teach a horse quick not to get all jiggy and foolish, it is best to stick to the path. Yikes it would keep me from wanting to wander off as well...LOL

Nice photos! i too used to live in AZ and we had many troubles with those jumping catus! Our poor dog had to be carried out of a canyon hike due to getting "attacked" by the catus. It looks as though you have great places to ride even if you have jumping catus and rattlers!!

yes and I hope that the rattlers are hibernating now we have been cold here lately, Tomorrow (Veterans Day )I am going to see if I can over come my mental block and ride Stormy, with the trainer right there beside me...The last time I got on her I tensed up so bad my back and hips locked up,Then I had a panic attack and had to get off, I know why I did it, so now I am going to try to work through it, and get back in the saddle and ride out there with hubby, Doreen, Gene, (and hopefully me)...
