Great ideas on the trail horse challenge...Awesome....It's amazing how you see stuff but forget about it....I want to compile my own little challenge course here....And I agree with what you said about your Kiger mare....My little colt I adopted from the Kiger adoption is like my dog....He follows people every where, doesn't care what the other horses are doing...If a human is around he assumes the human is there to pay him attention! I can't wait to hear the stories about all the places you take Bella to...She'll eat it up too! Just like Lakota....who will be an awesome role model for her too!
Angela
BTW, keep up telling us all you do....You will inspire lots of people this way!!!!!

"she LOVES LOVES attention from everyone, which is a kiger trait I see. Anyeone else notice that from there kigers?"
I forgot to address this comment. Absolutely YES, I believe it is a Kiger Mustang trait and the hardest one to explain to people about what makes them special. They need to experience it to grasp an understanding. Which is why we are all so happy to see Lakota and others like her, out there meeting the public and letting them experience a glimpse of that.

Thanks guys! Yes I figured if I posted all the pictures on here it would give everyone idea's on things they could do at home. Really easy obstacles that anyone can make up. They are wonderful on your horse and really helps to build that trust between you and the horse. We've been at the arena practicing all week. I finally got her to trot thru the noodles. I have determined by doing all these obstacles that she is left sided. I can do all these on her left side with no problem, but if I try on the right, BIG deal. Which is normal since we tend to do most on there left side. So have some work to do on that but we are both learning alot. Good thing she's so smart and willing - that makes all this much more enjoyable. And yes it is hard to explain to people how friendly these horses are - they have to see it to believe it. I do get lots of questions when I take her out - which Im sure everyone does with there kigers. They all look and assume she's quarter horse, and when I say kiger mustang, they are shocked. I like that Then you really have them hooked and wanting to know more ")

It is fun to have people play guess the breed, you say folks guess QH for Lakota. Everyone guess's Andalusian for Fantasy it must be the gray color. I have even had folks think from first look she is a stallion, until they notice she is missing something It is fun to share with new people your Kiger Mustang and sometimes surprising when someone will approach and ask if your riding a Kiger Mustang? and you can proudly say YES
