Thanks for your replies to Cisco's post. We kind of like him too. He's only 4 1/2 so we think he will be even more spectacular when he fully matures.
My husband rode him on his very first 25 mile Combined Trail Ride this past weekend. Even though he paced and whinnied in his stall the saturday afternoon he arrived, all night (kept everyone awake) and into early Sunday morning (1st time away from home over night and without one of his herd mates) he was ready to hit the trail at 7:15 on Sunday. A couple of others there for the ride commented that he probably did 100 miles thru the night. He still finished in the time allotted and recevied a score of 85 points out of 100. The only reason the score wasn't higher is because he was marked down for having a girth rub and wouldn't stand still long enough for his vitals to be checked an hour and half after he finished the ride when presented to the vet.
To answer the question both his dam and sire were wild. We adopted his dam from the BLM and she came to us already carrying him. Congratulations on the great results of his first 25 mile CTR.  I bet he is very flashy coming around the corner of any trail. |

He looks bright eyed and bushy tailed  As he matures he will learn to conserve energy and not be so restless. If he is like most older Kiger Stallions I know he will then wonder, what is the hurry? |

use to be mine, but i do love it because my son was born on Halloween, I tease him and tell him he was a trick not a treat to give birth too...but I love him anyway...He just smiles at me and knows I am kidding, he will be 28 this Halloween...

How cool. But deep down in your heart I'm sure he really is the "treat". Did he ever get any grief from other kids since Halloween is his birthday?

no, most thought that was cool, he was born om my baby brothers 21st birthday, and his great grandma's 75th birthday... and he knows I am teasing him, and yes he is a treat..

Congrats on Cisco's 1st 25 mile CTR....He's a very very nice stallion...Can't wait to see him as he matures, they only get better with age, just like a fine wine! Hope we get to see and hear lots more about your boy.....
