Roofus is my register Brussels Griffon, I am posting here to vent and get a response:
Saturday I to him into the groomer at Pet Smarts, this groomer was new to him and a new pets smart for us also..
She first tried to tell me my dog was not a Griffon, because he was to large, red flag,,, i was pissed, but i thought yes he is, and I will gladly shove his registration papers down her throat. But I did not say that, she took him from me and forced him into the back. Now Roofus loves to be groomed.. So Hubby and I left and went out to take care of the horse's, when I remembered she did not give me a time frame, so we drove back up to petsmart and we went in and asked how long will he be and was jumped on by four women, we do not know we are busy, I stepped back got very upset, asked again how long when I have taken him into the groomers and I told them which one i always knew the time frame. and that petsmart has been doing him for years till I moved.They were so rude, well i walked out and straight to the manager and filed a complaint.. that was sorta resolved, when it was time to go and get him 3 hours after I dropped him off he was not the same dog, at the other groomers when he saw me his little tail would go a million miles a min, and he would cry till I picked him up.that is what I expect to see. NOT, when they brought him to me he was trembling, wheezing, and very lethargic, and he was that way until today... I feel i handled it correct.. but why make a helpless animal that sick.. I went back up to the petsmart store today told them about how he was when we got him, how he was Sunday, and how today he was better but still not my roofus.. I know he will come around.. But that I will not be using their grooming facilities again... the manager said i do understand but please continue to shop here for you dog and cat needs and we will make it right, we will cover the vet here to have roofus checked out if I felt it was necessary. so needless to say I will have to locate another groomer, and i will watch that one ever so closely... I just needed to vent thanks for letting me. Oh yes several women after the fact spoke up I remember Roofus from the other groomer he was so awesome, and they were part of the problem, I just do not get it, did my dog who is my life have a sign that said hurt me...this all also took place on my birthday so it ended in a downer... I am now 50 years young...
