Mist, aka Firecracker, update!

I got a phone call yesterday and Debi was crying.

"I got on her! I got on! I told them this was my horse and I was going to be the first on her, and I was!"

I'm just so proud of her! Mist has completely transformed for Debi. I knew with some one on one time she'd come around, but never in my wildest dreams did I think she'd be mounted 30 days later! I'm just bustin' my buttons over this adoption

Thanks, ladies! I'm thrilled. It was just by chance that Debi happened by us at the fair. We'd worked together years and years ago...I haven't seen her in ages. But one look into Mists eyes and she was sunk. Her kids kept telling her she couldn't get on first (she's a grandma, and a fluffy one at that); told her they'd do it first. But then they both went out and got hurt the same week! So Debi, being Debi, tells them she's not letting anyone on her horse before she gets on, and she grabbed her son in law to hold on while she climbed up. ;D

This woman does a lot of zone shows with WHS, so her plan is to have Mist ready for show season next year.
