Thank you Kevin. Tracy, what your experience says to me is that the website has issues that need fixed. If you contact any member of the registry committee we will do our best to be of prompt assistance to you. Kim

I have been trying to get my mare, Sitara, registered. I send everything in this spring. In August, I got contacted and the inspection was complete. I needed to do the DNA and her stallion needed a DNA. No problem, I told Shauna I would pay to have El Caballo DNA tested so I could get this done and to just send the kit to his owner. My last contact with her was 09-12-08. She said she would do this and I would have my mare registered in a couple weeks. That was the last I heard. No DNA kit yet. I sent her an email: no response. I sent an email to Pam of this thread: came back as undeliverable. I sent an email to Kevin of this thread: no response. I cannot access the forum on the KMA site as my membership has not been processed so this is really the only access I have to KMA people. Do I want to go through a public forum? Not really but if it helps, at least maybe I can get a response. I went through KMA as both parents of my mare were registered KMA and thought that would make it easier.

I think Kevin stepped down, not anything bad but he will leave very big boots to fill as he was so good. He said that he wasn't able to attend things or be as available as he wanted to be because of being out of town for days at a time for work. Its a volunteer position and requires a lot of time and energy.

That's too bad. I know that must be a demanding position for someone to volunteer for.

Kevin has stepped down as the President of KMA. Brian is now the President as he was the Vice President. His work had him out of town, and working too many hours to attend to KMA business. With the economy the way it is, has caused a lot of lays in his office, so he has had to take on more work. We are just thankful he has a job! Lisa
