I was at the Langley's last night just a few minutes after thier mare Inca had a little filly. The sire is Mijo and this is the mares first mijo baby, so she is half sister to my filly ;D The mare has had a real hard time holding on to her babys and Jeannie has spent five years tring to keep her bred and it finally payed off! Funny thing I saw this mare give birth five yars ago when she had her last baby and them i happen to be there last night too, i seem to be a part of her births. I hepled hold the filly to give the vit e and selenium shot. she just layed there like we killed her for the longest time after we gave the shot. I hope to get photos soon.

Well i have really sad news.... This little filly died 36 hours after birth. The vet thinks she was deprived of oxygen when placenta detached to early. She wasnt right, she was going in circles around mom, kept running into the walls, and would not nurse on mom she would try every thing but moms nitties. She had a large seizure and died. They will not try and breed her again she will just be the great riding mare that she is!

Oh, that is the saddest thing. They steal your hearts right from the first moment. Give our love and support the Jeannie and her family for us, and to you too being so close to it.
