He may not ride with me or have a clue on how to feed those beasts out back, but he does do wonderful things for me, so I think I will keep around. My hubby Ken that is Last week he filled my hay barn with 4 tons of hay and then he finally put in a level floor in my big barn. Here it is before, just dirt Along that wall is where I tie my horses to saddle and such. I don't leave them there long for fear they may dig holes with pawing and the dust is just nasty. Now after ;D With pavers against the wall all the way down I can tie my horses against the wall with no fear of them digging to china. To be honest the first time they start pawing the loud noise against the pavers in the barn makes them stop. Outside the pavers has been filled in with a finer gravel and plate compacted in. it is not complete there is a section that needs rubber mats that will be my indoor wash stall. But is is a major improvement and no more dust ...woohoo! Now the bad news, in the proccess of hauling pallets of pavers and driving my tractor with the forks on it someone (one of Ken's workers) hit my horse trailer knocking it off it's stand and put a hole in the side...no one is talking.

Oh to have a barn! Must be wonderful to get out of the sun (or rain). And the stencil is so fun. Sorry about your horse trailer! Sounds pretty major.

The damage to the trailer is not to bad as it is a big metal trailer and the hole is small and did not go thru to the inside. I do however need to get it sealed up before it gets wet so no water gets between the walls of the trailer and so the metal does not rust. I really do like my new floor as it also keeps the barn nice and cool in the heat of the summer sun as well. Easy cleanup too, just sweep or hose off out the door or towards the wash stall.

wow that is really nice! Yah it's nice to have helpful guys around to do cool projects like that. My hubby is also a guy that will do cool things like that for me and my horseys even though he grumbles the whole time.. he says "lousy horses"...lol he just likes to grump he dosent think they are that bad. I love the pavers, i worked at a barn with cement floors and it was great, like you said, for clean up its just sweep or hose down... its great.

WOW!! How wonderful....and how exciting you must be. Its like winning the lottery somewhat - sorry about the horse trailor though. That's pretty rude of them to do that and not say anything, do you think they knew they did it?

To be honest sitting up on the tractor I am not sure they knew they put a hole in the side but I am pretty sure they knew they hit and knocked it off the blocks it was on. I am sure it made some noise and jerked sideways when it fell off. thank goodness it is a tuff trailer the hole has been filled in and sealed for now and no other damage was cause to the trailer from falling off the blocks.
