Michelle, What have you had to do to prepare for Ike! Are you expecting flooding in your area? I wish you the best and hope that all our Kiger friends in Texas will be safe. Lisa

Has anyone heard a word from Michelle,I have been out of the loop, and did not know Ike was that bad, and Texas was it target.... My prayers are with all the people,and their animals, affected by these hurricanes.I read that some people have had to leave horses behind. I hope it isn't true, but I sorta understand... h\How many of us have prepared for any sort of emergency evacuation? I'm not... We have talked about it and we came to the idea of riding our horse's out, ponying the others and switching off.. my dogs would have to follow us, my cat's I would figure how to carry them. I am so unprepared here in...

Hey, guys...thanks for the concern. We are fine here in Austin. Lots of wind so far today, but no rain - even though we are praying for some of the rain, we desperately need it! I have been watching the weather channel and it seems as if Ike is now heading east where they have been slammed with lots of rain anyway. Houston is getting hit hard too...

am glad to know you all are safe there at your place, I do hope that you will get some rain to end your drought, but not at once, but spread over many many months
